Abstract
This talk will summarize our recent work in microsystems for biomedical research, healthcare, and electronics. We have developed several microfluidic platforms for single-cell analysis and manipulation, including optically controlled microrobots, microdroplet cell encapsulation systems, and single-cell analysis systems. We have also utilized deep learning to quantify the health and quality of cells. We have also been working on the use of room-temperature liquid metals, like gallium alloys, for reconfigurable and adaptable electronic circuits. These reconfigurable circuits have the potential to reduce the size, weight, and power requirements of electronic systems. The liquid metals can also be used for the thermal management of electrical circuits.
