10:00-11:00 Dr. Frank K. Gürkaynak discusses energy efficient implementation of digital circuits and systems over a very wide operating range from IoT applications to HPC systems.
Dr. Frank K. Gürkaynak is director of Microelectronics Design Center (DZ). The Microelectronics Design Center provides design tools, know-how and licenses for ASIC, FPGA, Embedded Systems and PCB design supporting research and teaching at the Department of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering (D-ITET) of ETH Zurich. He is also a Senior Scientist working with Prof. Luca Benini in the Digital Circuits and Systems Group of Integrated Systems Laboratory (IIS).
11:00-12:00 Dr. Mehdi Saligane discusses their edge AI-chip design which is targeting Large Language Model (LLM) and has been jointly researched with Google.
Dr. Mehdi Saligane is a Professor at EECS - Electrical and Computer Engineering of University of Michigan. His research interests include Bio Sensors, Edge AI Acceleration, Hardware & Software co-design, Hardware Security, Nanofabrication, Sensors.
